As Floridians prepared for Hurricane Irma this week, Publix bakeries were able to find some lightness in a tense situation by baking cakes decked out in Irma messages.

“Go away Irma,” “Weather it out,” and “Not today Irma” are just some of the phrases requested for Publix cakes, many of which were baked by Kelly Higginbotham. The Publix employee posted a video of herself making the cakes after a meme featuring her designs went viral.

People debated whether or not the cakes were in good taste, with some finding them disrespectful to those in danger. An official Publix Twitter account, @PublixHelps, has apologized to several customers who were offended by the cakes.

Others praised the grocery store for giving people something to smile about during an otherwise stressful week. The storm is expected to hit South Florida Sunday, and has already done major damage to islands like Puerto Rico, Barbuda and the Bahamas.

Publix makes topical cakes often, including an eclipse cake last month, and this isn’t the first time they’ve made Hurricane-themed designs. Here are some of the best Irma-themed designs Florida’s favorite grocery store whipped up.
